Commissary undergoes renovations
The Eielson commissary is scheduled to undergo renovations Sept. 23 and will be open for regular hours by Sept. 25. The Customer Service department will be stripped of the current registers and replaced with newer models. "The biggest change is not so much the registers themselves, but the process and speed of the transactions," said Melissa Krol, Eielson commissary secretary. She said there will be two self-scan registers and five personnel-manned registers. Personal checks will be electronically debited at the time of transaction and given back to the customer. Furthermore, debit and credit transactions will be quicker and paperless. "With the new features, there will be no break in service to our patrons, the process will start and finish during our off days," said Mrs. Krol.

Fitness Center Construction Update
Time for a few updates of things happening at the Fitness Center during construction:
1. The water fountains have been removed until the new tile can be laid, then they will be reinstalled. We have one water fountain upstairs behind the bleachers off of the gym floor.
2. The main air handler will be turned off Thursday 16 Aug. It will be removed and a new one will be installed. This process will take about 2 weeks. It could get a bit stuffy in the facility during this process.
3. The hallway between the current front desk area and the lockers/pool will be closed 20/21 Aug. The alternate entrance to these locations will be at the opposite end of the facility close to the pool. The side door off of Central Ave. This is for safety while they remove some of the duct work associated with the air handler.
Thank you for your patience,
Susan L. Trejo, MSgt USAF
